There is this one thing that’s associated with artistes. I don’t know whether it holds a pinch of truth or it’s just an ethos formed by “behavioural experts” on artistes. For the longest time, musicians have been branded as lovers of alcohol. Among other earthly fantasies, artistes are often said to be imbibing liquor at any available chance. But I ask again, is it the truth?
Last year, rapper Frasha of the P-Unit group vowed to challenge himself, by taking a self-imposed 100-day ‘sober challenge’. Over the period he kept himself away from indulging in alcohol in an attempt to send a message to the youth. After a month without alcohol, Frasha came out “victorious”.
Now, another Kenyan rapper has done the unthinkable. He has confessed how he has saved himself from drowning millions of shillings in alcohol, to become a sober philanthropist.
